I attended this year Macy's Black History Month celebration in San Francisco at the Union Square location. The Special Guests were Celebrity Fashion Stylist June Ambrose, Costume Designer Johnetta Boone and Renel hosted the show.
As I stepped off the Macys elevator I was greet by this sign directing me to the right for BHM "The Soul Era" event.
As I walk the direction towards the event I saw beautiful Black women and very few men in line to attend this awesome event.
I checked in the VIP line and received a couple of VIP perks: VIP wristband, a red Macy's cosmetic bag, (inside the bag was a $10 gift card, and a "Choose your own Sale day" coupon.
I had to hurry up and get a seat before the good ones were gone. The event was expected to a full house due to massive response.
The show opened up with one the sponsors: Steven Sterling from "Esterlina Vineyard and Winery" in Healdsburg, CA. They cater the delicious riesling wine for the evening.
Macy's store assistant welcomed the host for the night, Bay Area's most loved radio host Renel. It was a delight to have her as the host for the event. Renel grace the stage wearing a "Fringe" Dress which is make a coming back for this upcoming season.
Renel welcomed June Ambrose and Johnetta Boone to the stage. The two fabulous ladies gave us 70's fashion thru their outfits. June wore a men's inspired suit and Johnetta wore a tunic, and cropped flared bottom. And they both wore a pair of fabulous platforms.

The conversation begin with discussing Black Fashion, Music and Beauty thru the Soul Era (60's and 70's). The audience were given notecard to ask the ladies questions. Here is my question:
Renel read my question and the ladies gracefully answered with a lot inspiration:
Listen to the video on my Facebook page and hear June and Johnetta's response.
I felt empowered and inspired by their encouraging words.
The event didn't stop there, Macy's delighted us with little refreshments, wine and a fashion show. I meet some incredible people on this night!
